What the job is: 

We’re looking for an Account Director (reporting to: General Manager) to join us and make more work that gets people talking. (In a good way!). You’ll be managing accounts for our biggest clients, with a focus on B2B and some B2C.

What you’ll do:

As an Account Director, your role will be varied and multifaceted, ranging from working with clients across all stages of a campaign. From initial structuring and planning, advising on content, creative and media choice, through to project management and delivery of the campaign working with our team of creatives & producers. 

  • Client and account management – maintaining direct, day-to-day contact with clients, internal teams and external partners to develop, direct, and lead project planning and day-to-day execution; delivering on time, within budget, and compliant with brand standards
  • Manage, present and oversee project brief development, contribute to brand plans (i.e., writing and image stylisation and sourcing), and assist in the creative brief development processes
  • Schedule, attend, and lead client meetings generating meeting recaps with key notes on considerations, deliverables, and responsibilities / action items
  • Develop and update project documents and presentations, such as Keynotes, Google Slides presentations, budget estimates, briefings, workback schedules / project timelines, and scope of work agreements, etc
  • Track budgets regularly and work with the finance team for billing and project finances
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and client relationships 
  • Represent the ethos of our agency when dealing with clients and prospects 
  • Present a high level of marketing knowledge and strategic insight to clients 
  • Lead / participate in both internal team and client brainstorms
  • Identify and develop client cross over and up-sell opportunities. Focusing on client growth and retention at the core of what you do 
  • Work with the senior management team to develop new business
  • Use contacts to generate new leads
  • Work with the design team to prepare client pitches and proposals
  • Create and manage program / marketing recaps and provide post-event analysis
  • May be required to travel internationally for projects or seasonal budget planning with clients (as permitted by country law / guidelines).

 

Who you are:

  • Sales, business development, or account management experience within the advertising industry or client-side marketing background
  • The understanding that a client isn’t always right and that we are advisories to help shape an effective and impactful campaign
  • Have been responsible for multiple accounts in various territories with different time zones, ideally EMEA & US client experience
  • Ability to holistically view a client's marketing budget with experience planning quarterly and yearly targets
  • Creatively minded and keen to develop concepts/creative outside of their role
  • High level of relevant media industry knowledge, including stats, trends and news
  • High level of communication, especially in a client setting and must be comfortable presenting in front of senior stakeholders
  • Ambitious, versatile and proactive
